PREM

A Story That Reads As Though It Were Lifted From the Book of Acts

Prem Pradhan was a Hindu. And he was a soldier. A Gurkha in the British Royal Air Force, then commander of a tank regiment in the Indian Army.
But God had other plans for his life.
After being reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ, Prem knew he was called to reach a part of the world diametrically opposed to changing one’s religion: his own country of Nepal, where it was a crime to be baptized, punishable by a year in prison.
But not denying his Lord mattered more. So when Prem baptized others, he was sentenced to six years in prison. There he encountered demons, healed other prisoners, and preached the love of God. And that’s just the start of Prem’s story.
In 1950, Nepal had few known Christians. Today? Over one million. Prem is an important part of the reason.
PREM is a book of intimate one-on-one interviews with Prem Pradhan, reflections from those who came to the Lord Jesus through him, and a testament to a true Christian apostle.
PREM is an unforgettable, once-in-a generation, true story.
Read and be changed!

Robert V. Finley

Shortly before leaving India in 1948, Robert Finley turned toward the Himalayas and asked the Lord to let him see a gospel witness in Nepal in his lifetime. Surprisingly, in 1967 Finley would meet Prem Pradhan at a Christian conference in D.C. It was through knowing men like Pradhan that Finley shifted from serving as an international evangelist to becoming one of the greatest advocates of our time for supporting indigenous mission ministries worldwide.

What about you? What is holding you back from fulfilling the role God has uniquely prepared for you in building His Kingdom on earth? Join us and experience PREM, a newly released book by Robert V. Finley. It is the inspirational story of the impact of one man on the birth of the church in Nepal. You will be encouraged to stand strong in your faith, no matter what.

The Supreme Emphasis Given By The New Testament

Of all that our Lord said after He rose from the dead, the only thing recorded for us is the Great Commission: “Go teach all nations.”

Reviews

Committed Christian men like Prem Pradhan appear perhaps only once in a hundred years. . .

Read the graphic, heart-wrenching, stunning account of his (and fellow believers) incarceration in Tansen Prison–and why they were sent there–for a taste of what he went through to obey the call of the Lord, and thus win many souls for Him. It is truly a story that will make your heart sing in grateful praise . . .

I knew this man. He stayed in my house. He ate at my table with my wife and four children. I took him to 41 meetings in the three weeks he stayed with me in 1977-1978. During those rides and table sittings, he told me of his countless escapades and imprisonments, and how the Lord guided and spoke to him through them all. So in a way, I knew what the book would say before I read it . . .

A Miraculous Faith

★★★★★

“Truly astounding account of this modern-day apostle's faith. I was deeply moved and challenged. I will never forget this courageous man's story: how he stood up for Jesus Christ in the face of Satanic opposition! Well written and quick to read. A real page-turner! Let the Holy Spirit challenge your faith with Prem's life story and the miracles God did.”

A saint's life and witness, an example for us all to follow.

★★★★★

“Prem's life and testimony is equal to other heroes of my faith, such as: Sadhu Sundar Singh, Watchman Nee, and Perpetua. His account of prison life was especially impactful and moving, as was his opinion that God's church should not go underground to avoid persecution. I pray that we can follow his example when the time comes.”

““PREM is a deeply moving true story of commitment, surrender, and courage. I bought this book and immediately read it from cover to cover, and I am so GLAD I did! The pages of this incredible account filled me with deep admiration and awe, at Brother Prem's complete surrender to his Lord, in his life, and at such a great cost. My own intense personal reaction after reading these pages was a feeling of deep unworthiness, as I have never made such a complete surrender to God, as Brother Prem had. Brother Prem’s testimony is nothing short of spiritually heroic. His example calls me to be ever more committed to serving my Lord Jesus Christ with all the treasure, time, and talent He has ever given me. I highly encourage every believer to read PREM, and fully surrender to working for the Kingdom, while there is still time.

UPDATED Paperback Review December 22, 2024:

Committed Christian men like Prem Pradhan appear perhaps only once in a hundred years. PREM is a spiritual testament to the selflessness, courage, and unwavering commitment of a man who, like the apostle Paul, chose the path of suffering and service to his own people of Nepal.

Prem Pradhan understood, like very few Christians, that his earthly life was just a brief vapor, momentary, in comparison to the eternal joy of serving and giving his life for his Lord Jesus Christ. His radical surrender to Christ, his willingness to live with heartfelt purpose and burning passion, and his acceptance of suffering as part of his Christian journey, make Prem Pradhan a modern giant of the faith. Prem devoted his life to preaching and living the Gospel, facing relentless opposition, imprisonment, deep loneliness, and physical suffering. Prem truly comprehended and embraced the cost of discipleship.

PREM has challenged me, personally, to my own spiritual inventory: am I truly willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of the Gospel? Am I really inclined to live with Prem Pradhan’s kind of single-minded devotion to the Cause of Christ? Frankly, I find myself wanting. If you long for a deeper walk of commitment to the calling of Christ, I highly recommend this book to you. –Dr. Max Ross”

“This story of what prison was like when prem and colleagues entered and how they changed it was awesome. It makes my life as a believer in jesus seem pretty shallow. I will look forward to meeting him in heaven”

Graces

Non-Fiction

Do you understand that you have a supernatural endowment from God? And that it comes with a purpose?

Paul taught that a mighty supernatural power, which he called grace, is given to all those who are quickened by the Holy Spirit. But after the “falling away” of the fourth century, the grace of God was said to be something dispensed by the priests of the church. The Reformers recovered the judicial aspects of grace, the unmerited favor of God toward sinners, but failed to restore Paul’s teaching about what God gives to believers.

Now, you can gain a new understanding of the grace that God gives and the purpose for which he gives it to YOU.
